Why I built Checkride Radar
I'm Brian. I've flown fighters in the Air Force, I fly for an airline, and I teach as a flight instructor, where my focus is human performance psychology: how pilots perform under pressure, including the pressure of being evaluated.
A checkride is one of the most stressful days in a pilot's training, and too much of that stress comes before the ride even starts: finding an examiner, waiting weeks for a slot, and guessing what it will cost. That information lives in scattered forum threads. Checkride Radar puts it in one place.
The examiner list comes from the FAA's public Designee Locator. The fees and wait times come from pilots like you. If you've taken a checkride, please report it.
Checkride Radar is independent and not affiliated with the FAA.
Sponsor and featured-listing slots for checkride-prep courses, gear, flight schools and examiners. (Placeholder. Contact details coming soon.)
